The display of the KTM was far superior (in my opinion). It is so clear, legible and easy to navigate, even in bright direct sunlight. The KTM rev-range must be kept above 3,500 rpms where as the BMW could run strongly from 2,000 rpm. The growl and howling of the V-twin was music and not too loud.

Lofting the front across the erosion mounds, switching lines to keep out of the erosion ruts and getting a little sideways through the turns, the bike absolutely begged for more.
